chopped garlic, onion, rosemary, carrots
Add salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon of flour to the beef
Add some olive oil to the pot, brown the beef in small batches and remove them from the pot...
Add the onions, carrots, salt and pepper. Cook until the onions are translucent and then add the garlic.
Add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste. let cook for 2 mins. Add 1 cup of pinot noir to deglaze the pot and scrap all the goodies off the pot. Let the wine simmer for 5 mins
Add the beef back to the pot, with the rosemary and thyme.
Add the 2 cups of beef broth to the pot, put a lid on it. Simmer for 2 hrs.
Ingredients:
1 lb of chuck cubed
1 diced onion
2 cloves of garlic diced
4 carrots
1 tablespoon of rosemary chopped
4 sprigs of Thyme
1 cup of Pinot Noir
2 cups of Beef broth
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
** You can cook this on top of the stove or put everything in the slow cooker. So if you are doing all your shopping, you know that dinner is cooking away at home without a lot of work.
