MEAL PLANNING

I don't know if I have ever mentioned it but every Sunday before we head to the grocery store, Cliff and I sit down and decide what we want to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the whole week. I have noticed that there is no waste when I do my meal planning and I love that.
There are many factors that are involved in the meal planning situation. First of all, Cliff checks his schedule to see if he has to go in the office this week or not. It is usually once a week, I love that he works from home.  If he does, that means I have to make sure to get something office friendly for that day. Easy to pack and filling since it is cold now.
Then we also like to check the weather, if it is really cold and/or raining, we like soups, chili, stews. You know comfort food! ;) We try to have at least 2 vegetarian dinners, 1 seafood  dinner and everything else is fair game.
One of the things that I like about sitting down and brainstorming is that we get to listen to each other  and write down recipes. We really try to do a new recipe every week or do something fun with a classic.
I love that Cliff wants to help in the kitchen, he is my favourite sous-chef! Like I always say, we have a lot of fun cooking together. So I figured I would start sharing my weekly menu with you guys and may be that will inspire you to make your own.
