MAURITIUS

Good morning friends, the weather is warming up and of course all I long for is the beach. It really occurred to me that I never really share pictures of Mauritius on the blog. I really should be sharing pictures of this beautiful island where I was born and grew up. The pictures above are from the Four Seasons hotel there. You can see how beautiful it is. Usually when I tell people where I'm from, they stare at me with a puzzle look. I have to say that 99% of the people that I meet, don't have a clue as to where Mauritius is. As for the people who have a slight idea, they just think it's Africa but they couldn't be more wrong. 

Let me tell you a little bit of my island. It's very small, no really! It is just a dot on the world map and if you don't look carefully you will miss it completely.  But boy does this little island pack so much punch! It is a melting pot of cultures, ethnicities and food.  (I will be posting some fun mauritian recipes very soon) As you can see, it is a beautiful place with magical beaches, to this day I have yet to see any other beaches that even come close to this. It is even more beautiful in person!
