LAS VEGAS ( KOI RESTAURANT)

Our first night there, we decided to try KOI. It is located at Planet Hollywood which is so convenient as we happen to be staying at the Elara which is connected to it via the Miracle Mile Shop. In my mind, I was thinking that we don't have to have a big dinner there just try some small plates so we can move on to a different restaurant. I really was trying to do a mini food crawl. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly, we sat at the lounge area which was very nice. When the menu got in front of us, all I could think of was sushi. I have to admit that I love sushi but I'm a weird sushi eater. Why you might ask? I don't go for the raw stuff, I told you, weird! Ha. So we ordered a couple of things there.

{Sunfire Roll}

{Lobster Tacos}

{kimchi Fried Rice}

We also ordered shrimp Tempura roll, I always order this everywhere I go but I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture . Every single one of those dishes was excellent. As for the Kimchi Fried rice, I have to say that at first I didn't like the idea of Kimchi. The idea of cabbage with spices and being fermented was not my ideas of something that I would be salivating over , more like " No thank you, I will pass" . But I am so happy that I was up to trying new things and I am so glad I did because this fried rice blew me away. Once It hits your mouth, It is like an explosion of flavour. I guess somehow the acidic and the spices just open up your tastebuds. It was delish and I couldn't stop talking about it. So much so that today when I went grocery shopping, I bought some to recreate this dish.
