Makoto is located in Bal Harbour. It is so beautiful there and peaceful. It is surrounded by designer stores and koi ponds, yes! I said Koi ponds! The food is so delicious. Unfortunately we didn't think of taking pictures of all the food that we ordered since we were busy stuffing our faces. Ha! . We were really starving on our first night there. I do reckon that we had 2 orders of sushi, a noodle dish and dessert.
Let's talk about the braised short noodles for a minute, can you say Umami? They are absolutely fantastic. It had ginger and tamarind sauce that made your tastebuds dance. Really really good. As a matter on our last day when we went there for our last meal in Miami I ordered the same thing. I really didn't care that it was hot there, I just wanted one last bite of those scrumptious noodles.
We had the flourless chocolate cake that was filled with saké, it came with a yuzu ice-cream. That was dynamite too. I have to say that I was on the fence with the saké in my cake (you know how much I love chocolate) but it was just the right amount and just perfect.
I will be back on monday to finish the food side of our trip until then I hope that you all have a blessed weekend and don't forget if you are in Miami, make a stop at Makoto!
Really this place looks so beautiful and seems peaceful too. I like to have dinner at such places with my lovely wife. We visited one of best San Francisco restaurants last week, and we tried most of dishes there. Can’t tell you how amazing food they served.
