My love affair with cottages started when we were house hunting for our home 10 years ago. I reckon seeing over 50 houses during that year we were looking and everything fell short. We saw all kinds of houses, some that needed a lot of work and some that were ok but really didn't fit us. I remember seeing this cute little cottage and as soon as we entered the house, it felt like home. It was small, smaller that what we were looking for but somehow none of that mattered. We could see ourselves living there and even though it needed a lot of work, we went for it. Nowadays I still love them but with a little more modern touches. The metal roof is just amazing and I would really love one for my house, I have always loved them as it is something a lot of people do back home.
