IS IT SUMMER OR FALL?

I don't know about you but here on the East Coast, some days are very hot and some days, you get that cool crisp air on your skin and you are reminded that fall is upon us and any day now, you might wake up and this will be the weather. I love it especially when you get to wear a cute shorts and a comfy cardigan or a beautiful dress with mules. It is the perfect way to mix your wardrobe with the seasons.

WEEKEND LOOK

Every single time we go to the mall, whether it's for a quick trip to grab something small, I always make Cliff stop by Madewell with me. Poor guy! I always say that I will be in for only 5 minutes and we end up staying there way too long and I always end up buying something. The only saving grace for him is that they have a nice sitting area there and he is on the phone the whole time. The things he does for his wife. I love you babe 😘 So I am almost always wearing something from there, so this whole outfit is all Madewell. What are you doing this weekend? We are hoping to make it to the new Captain America movie this weekend and enjoy a brunch out. Fingers crossed for no rain while we are out. Have a nice weekend friends! 

OUTDOOR PLAN

We have been on the hunt for outdoor furniture for a while now and  let me tell that finding something that is comfy and too expensive is so hard. We finally went to Ikea this weekend which I don't recommend doing on a weekend, it's a mad house! Anyways I digress, we couldn't believe that we finally found the right furniture there! You know that I have a hate/love relationship with Ikea but this past trip was just love! We got home and measured again and if the weather is good, we will be picking up some of it tomorrow and ordering the rest online. I cannot wait to enjoy our backyard this year and have family over. 

WEEKEND LOOK

I cannot believe that the weather is starting to be a bit warm and only last week it was snowing. Though I am not a big fan of how unpredictable the weather is, I am loving being able to open the windows and let some cool air in the house. Nothing says spring like waking up to the birds chirping. I love it! Now let's talk about this outfit, I love the simplicity and ease of it. I have noticed as time goes by, I only want to wear clothes that are not fussy and most importantly being comfortable is key for me.
Now onto something else I wanted to share, I haven't been able to share recipes lately but know that it is not for lack of trying. My camera has been acting funny and to add insult to injury my Iphone does not want to take any pictures. So I am waiting patiently for thursday to come around, so I can get in line in front of the Apple Store and get that new phone. So hopefully some new recipes will be coming your way soon 😉

Happy friday everyone! I love that the weekend is here and I have to say that I am so looking forward it. Today has already started off a bit bumpy but looking on the bright side, I'm sure that things will get better and better. Since Spring will be here in a couple of weeks, I'm dusting off my white jeans and of course trying to keep my layers light, so I can easily remove the coat and go on with the day. GUEST ROOM REDO

Good morning everyone! I have been thinking of redoing the guest room for a while now. I really want  it  to be be cozy yet calm and zen so that the guests feel relax when they visit. I am hoping to have it done by the end of the year, I'm in no hurry because I do change my mind a lot. Haha! But so far this is my vision for it and who knows what it might look like when it's done, but I will post a picture when it's done until then have a lovely day everyone!

                                                                    

                                                                     

WEEKEND LOOK

I love it when I see that friday is here, isn't it the best?  Being warm has been a priority lately, the weather is below freezing and it is no joke. So I usually skip the heels and opt for tennis shoes that are comfy, also I want to be able to wear really thick socks! I have learnt that having a great coat is the best investment possible, it is amazing the difference it makes when you have a really warm coat on. I have been on the fence at the beginning of winter to spend the big bucks on a really good coat but I have to say that it has changed my life and I know I will have it for years to come. Great investment. I hope that you all have a lovely weekend.

COZY AT HOME

Happy friday everyone! I hope that this week has been a great one for all of you. I wanted to share a lounge board today instead of a weekend look. We have been staying in a little bit more since the temperatures dropped and I love it. When I am home, you cannot get me out of sweatpants or some cute sleeping pants. They are so comfortable and I literally live in them but the cherry on top for me are my fuzzy slippers. I really couldn't find the exact one I have but the one above is pretty close to it and let's not forget the cardigan, it's so me. Lastly my favourite cup since I drink a lot of tea. Hello friends! I have been wanting to do this post for a while now after seeing all the wonderful necklaces out there. I'm sure all of  you out there know the Dylanlex necklaces. They are so beautiful and absolutely exquisite but if are like me and can't spend $700 for a necklace then you are in great hands here. I have been looking around and found some great alternatives out there that are very affordable. At the very top are all the Dylanlex necklaces and below are the more affordable ones. I have to say that forever21 is coming to the rescue here, layering the necklaces is key for this look.

PLAID FOR THE HOME

Everywhere I go, everyone is doing plaid and I have to say that I still love it. To me, it is fall and winters' uniform. I cannot imagine the colder season without it. You can imagine that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share some plaid love for the home as well. I love each and every pieces shown, even though I like  a traditional plaid, I love the the blues and greys even better. It might be the island girl side of me, always attracted to ocean like colours. I hope this encourages you incorporate some plaid to your home, a little shopping is good for the soul on hump day!
